Opening of the Festival Musiq3 2023 : concert at La Sucrerie,
in partership with the RMIW.

The young South Korean Taehan Kim won the Queen Elisabeth International Grand Prix – First Prize – Queen Mathilde Prize, in which he notably shone through his impressive maturity despite his 22 years.

The theme "Utopia" of the 2023 edition of the Musiq3 Festival invites us on a dreamlike journey in the company of Taehan and young talents Lorenzo Gatto, Jonathan Fournel, Riana Anthony, for a dream opening concert!

When he started singing, he wanted to be a rocker. But his mother preferred to enroll him in classical singing lessons: he entered Seoul Arts High School at 15. Little by little, he got into the game and fell more and more in love with the great lyrical repertoire. This is why he chose the profession of opera singer.
A big fan of opera now, he is particularly fond of the romantic repertoire, Verdi and Puccini for opera, Schubert and Schumann for lieder.

The baritone, the youngest of this session, touched the audience with his vocal means used with intelligence, his work on vocal texture and his great attention paid to the quality of the emotions conveyed by the texts. This is also his personal objective: to express his own feelings to move people and the public.
